Sim Sisavuthara is the Founder & CEO of Nexus Capital & Investment Advisory, with over 14 years of experience in banking, capital markets, and corporate advisory. He has held senior roles including CEO and advisor at trust companies and Head of Planning & Strategy at a commercial bank, following seven years as a senior analyst at leading securities firms.
He brings deep expertise in mergers & acquisitions, company valuation, and capital raising, covering IPOs, private debt, private placements, and bank financing. Since founding Nexus in January 2022, Thara has led the firm’s growth and execution of key mandates. These include successfully raising USD 3.45 million in debt financing for a leading motorcycle-focused microfinance institution and providing corporate advisory services to clients across financial services, healthcare, construction materials manufacturing, motorsport complex, and education in Cambodia and Australia. He has also served as sell-side advisor to several companies, including a commercial bank, multiple MFIs, an insurance company, a private hospital, and an international school.
He is active in the Cambodia’s business community, serving as a member of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and the Banking and Financial Sector Working Group of the Government-Private Sector Forum. He served as a judge and trainer on SME investment readiness programs for Khmer Enterprise, a grader for CFA Research Challenge, and as a panel speaker on green financing challenges for the Cambodia Microfinance Association.
He holds a Master of Management (Finance) from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Economics from the PannasastraUniversity of Cambodia. He also completed an eight-month management trainee program at Research and Debt Capital Market of OSK Investment Bank Berhad.

Timol is Founder & Partner of ATAP & Partners Company Limited. He has more than 10 years of professional experience. His skill set is a dynamic combination of audit, finance, investment analysis, and complicated tax application. He started his professional career in the Assurance and Risk & Control Solution divisions at one of the globally recognized “Big Four” firms. He then became a representative of a Japanese investment fund, overseeing the performance of investment portfolios in Cambodia and India before founding ATAP & Partners. He has also acted as a judge and mentor for several startup programs, namely DBS Social Venture Challenge Asia, WeCreate, MOC 101, Impact Hub Phnom Penh Mentoring Program, and Khmer Enterprise Financial Assistance Package.
During his academic life, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance & Banking from PaññāsāstraUniversity, with additional undergraduate programs at Hong Kong University (2009), UniversitiSains Malaysia (2010), and DankookUniversity (South Korea, 2011). Personally, he is optimistic and humble and always looks for positive change in every aspect of life. He is also a member of ACCA, a member of KICPAA, and a licensed Tax Agent.
